The Chief Executive Officer of Accra Hotspurs Foundation, Mohammed Laryea, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of Star Oil, Mr. Philip Tieku, to express his appreciation for the company’s support towards the successful organisation of the 5th edition of the Sarkis Peace Cup.
The courtesy visit took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, following the successful conclusion of the tournament, which brought together communities and young football talents in a celebration of football, unity and peace.
Mohammed Laryea thanked Mr. Tieku and Star Oil for their contribution towards the competition, noting that the support played an important role in making the fifth edition of the tournament a success.
The Sarkis Peace Cup, which has grown into a community-based football event, seeks to use the sport as a platform to promote peace, unity and positive engagement among young people.
At the end of this year’s competition, Gbawe CP Community emerged as champions after an impressive campaign, securing the ultimate prize in the fifth edition.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to all sponsors, partners, participating communities, players, officials and supporters who contributed to the success of the tournament.
