Here are the standout winners from last night’s 2025 Ghana Football Awards ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre

Last night, Accra basked in footballing brilliance as Ghana’s elite gathered under glittering lights to celebrate their finest. The evening brimmed with emotion, pride, and the unmistakable spirit of Ghanaian football.

 

 


 

🏆 Footballer of the Year

Thomas Partey reclaimed the top honor his third overall (previous wins in 2019 and now 2025). His dominant midfield presence at Arsenal (35 league appearances, five goals) and impressive off-field impact earned him both Footballer of the Year and Football for Good (shared with Tariq Lamptey) .

 


Rising Star & Home-Based Hero

Jerry Afriyie, on loan at CD Lugo and Brighton prospect, secured the Odartey Lamptey Future Star Award, outshining Christiana Ashiaku and Edmund Baidoo .
Razak Simpson of Nations FC grabbed both Home-Based Footballer of the Year and Goal of the Year for a sensational 40‑yard screamer .

 


Domestic League Scorers

Stephen Amankona (Berekum Chelsea) earned Premier League Goal King with 18 goals  .

Mary Amponsah (Ampem Darkoa Ladies) was named Women’s Premier League Goal Queen, netting a record 25 goals  .
