Bechem United and Accra Hearts of Oak battled to a goalless draw in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 4 fixture at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Friday afternoon. The result means both sides continue their search for consistency in what has been a cautious start to the 2025/26 season.

The Phobians looked the more dominant side in the first half, dictating the pace of the game with patient build-up play under coach Mas-Ud Dramani. Their midfield trio controlled possession, often forcing Bechem into their own half. However, despite their dominance, Hearts failed to turn their chances into goals, with striker Hamzah Issah wasting the best opportunity after being set up inside the box.

Bechem United returned from the break with renewed energy, spurred on by their home fans. The introduction of Kofi Tompuo shifted momentum in their favour, with the young midfielder adding directness and creativity. The standout performer for the Hunters, however, was youngster Emmanuel Sefa, whose dazzling footwork and confidence troubled the Hearts’ defence throughout the second half.

The hosts pressed for the opener with several half-chances, but solid goalkeeping and defensive organization from Hearts’ backline kept them at bay. In truth, both sides lacked the cutting edge in the final third, and it showed in the quality of chances created.

The most remarkable positive on the day was the consistency of Hearts’ goalkeeping department, which continues to provide stability reminiscent of the days of coach Ouattara. That defensive solidity ensured the Phobians walked away with a valuable away point.

At full time, the scoreboard read 0-0, a result that leaves Hearts of Oak unbeaten in three matches but with work to do in attack, while Bechem United will rue not making their second-half dominance count.

The Phobians are 2nd on the league table with 8points in four games while Bechem United sits at the 14th position with just two points in 4games.
