In a significant move to bolster the growth and structure of table soccer in Ghana, the Table Soccer Association of Ghana (TSAG) has announced the appointment of a new executive leadership team.

The appointments, revealed in an official statement on Tuesday, mark a renewed focus on professionalism, grassroots development, and international competitiveness for the sport. At the helm of the new leadership is Kwesi Akaibo Adeaba, who assumes the role of President.

Adeaba, a long-time advocate for the sport, will lead a ten-member executive team with a two-year mandate aimed at elevating table soccer in the country and expanding its reach. Joining him in the new administration are:

The new team brings a mix of experience, energy, and strategic vision, with responsibilities spanning administration, technical development, international partnerships, and public engagement. Speaking on the Association’s goals under the new leadership, President Kwesi Akaibo Adeaba expressed optimism about the future of table soccer in Ghana.

“Our vision is to build a strong, inclusive, and competitive table soccer culture in Ghana,” Adeaba said. “With this dynamic team, we are confident that the game will reach new heights, inspire more participation, and open opportunities for international collaborations.”

The TSAG’s roadmap for the next two years includes the launch of nationwide grassroots initiatives to identify and nurture young talent, the organization of national competitions to boost local visibility, and the establishment of partnerships with global table soccer bodies to integrate Ghana into the international circuit.

While table soccer, also known as foosball(Kaseey, Gblagbo) has often been seen more as a recreational pastime, the Association is determined to rebrand it as a structured, competitive sport. The new executive body aims to develop standard facilities, implement coaching programs, and engage communities through schools, clubs, and regional associations. In a call to action, the Association urged all stakeholders, including sports authorities, corporate sponsors, media outlets, and enthusiasts—to rally behind the new leadership and contribute to the development of table soccer into a mainstream sport. As Ghana seeks to diversify its sporting portfolio and provide more opportunities for youth through alternative sports, this new leadership era for TSAG could be the turning point that takes table soccer from the sidelines to center stage.
